Rimmel 'Stay Blushed' Liquid Cheek Stain in '101 Pop of Pink' (available here)
Hello! Happy Wednesday - the countdown to the weekend starts here! I'm off Saturday and Sunday for the first time in ages, so I'm counting down to Friday as if it's the last day of school before the holidays. So it's now officially Summer (yay!), and for me this means it's time for a change in my make up. In the warm weather, I try to avoid wearing powder products on my face - with the exception of the essential forehead touch-up of course! I find switching to liquid highlighters and cheek stains creates a more natural and fresh face for Summer.
The formula is a lot thicker and creamier than I expected, which you can see in the pictures above. The tube distributes a really small amount which must be intentional, because a little goes a long way with this. I use the smallest amount on the tips of my fingers and lightly blend it into the outer half of the apples of my cheeks. It blends relatively easily, although you do need to work quite quickly with it. I usually tap my fingers over the top to make sure it's even.
There's only two shades of this at the moment - 'Sun Kissed Cherry' which is a peachy coral shade, and 'Pop of Pink' which is the candy pink shade above. Although this is a bit pinker than I'd normally go for, it's not at all bright when it's on the skin. It's the perfect cheek product for travelling, and avoids the horrible feeling of dread when you open a powder blush that's been thrown around in your bag all day. That moment of disappointment has happened to the best of us. Overall, a great little bargain product that's definitely worth a try and even better, it's on sale in Boots at the moment for just £3.49!
Have you tried this? What do you think?
