First things first, what do you think of the new layout? It was a bit of a last minute decision - I feel like I've turned a corner with my blog recently and I'm finally getting out of the blog slump of the last few months so it just seemed right to do a little blog makeover as well. I absolutely love this template - it's simple, neutral and I love that I can categorise my posts to make it easier to get around (have a wee look at the top bar!). Now onto the good stuff - the shopping. I'm forever putting things aside to do a 'big haul' then forgetting about them completely, so today I was looking at my shopping bags and thought do you know what? It's better to do a mini haul, than no haul at all. So here's some things I picked up last week...
Zara | Now it might be early February, but these boots are looking to be a strong contender for best sale purchase of the year! When I first spotted these maroon, croc print ankle boot beautys on the sale shelf, I assumed they'd be reduced to like £90 and in a size 12 or something .. but low and behold, they were in my size and they were only £19.99. Can you actually believe that? The quality of these is unreal and I know they'll last for years. I can't stop staring at them! I also picked up this gorgeous berry/maroon coloured blanket scarf because 1) it's my favourite colour ever 2) I love being able to wear a blanket in public and 3) it was reduced to £5.99!
Zara | My main reason for going into town was actually to try and pick up some things for wearing to work. And I literally just yawned when writing that and that's exactly how I feel about buying office-y clothes. But since I spend a lot of my time in work, I know I should be making more of an effort to buy nice clothes. I don't know about you, but my mood is 10x better when I like my outfit and who doesn't need that kind of feeling on a Monday morning? Anyway, I feel sorry for this top right now cos this picture totally isn't doing it any justice! It look's mahoosive but, believe me, it's actually a lovely shape when it's on - have a look here at it on the zara model. It's loose fitting with a nice structure around the shoulders and I think it'll look good with a pair of skinny trousers. My next task is to find a pair without big pockets on the side!
Primark | I picked up three of these little jumpers for £8 each and honestly, these are so super soft that I wouldn't be surprised to find them in Topshop for much more. You really can't beat Primark for basics. These were bought with workwear in mind, but I know I'll be able to wear these at the weekends too. They're the perfect shape for tucking into high waisted skirts or wearing under pinafore dresses. I actually think I'm wearing one of these for an outfit post this weekend so watch out for it!
So what do you think? What have you been shopping for recently?
